Cards for divination usage goes back to biblical times, when people would cast lots and stones to make decisions about the future. I don't own my own deck. Will I be left behind?
No. Not at all. I designed this course with your concerns in mind. Whether or not you currently have a deck, I will show several decks during the class. So, do not worry about feeling left behind. You are not behind. Plus, you will gain a wealth of knowledge which may prompt you to purchase a traditional deck or a newer /hybrid style one.
This seems like a lot of information. I don't know.
No worries. I have taken the most important aspects and information from each card and brought out the true nuggets of wisdom. This is why I created a Basics level class. I've found that most people avoid using their cards or buying cards altogether because it seems like too much. I am here to support you and intentionally made this easy to understand.
My mother-in-law says Tarot cards are against her religion. What now?
Historically, cards have certainly not been immune to misunderstandings and misinterpretation. It started in the 14th century as a card game called Tarrochi, similar to Bridge, played in the Courts and Palaces of Italy. During the religious upheaval period in Europe, Tarot had to go underground. Some officials banned any type of card games because of the association with gambling. The truth is Tarot cards are a beautifully designed Divinatory tool. The images speak to our psyche and give messages and guidance aligned for our Highest Good.
